2 easy ways to create your own compost

Today compost our own waste is becoming something more and more common. Moreover you reduce the quantity of your trash you also have other benefits you can also recover a liquid fertilizer from your compost. 100% natural and cheaper than the one you can find on specialized shops, you can use this liquid for growing flowers, plants, vegetables...
Thanks to our 2 different techniques, even if you live in one of the biggest city in the world such as Shanghai you can do your own compost without any efforts. Once you realize or buy your compost you don't have to do nothing. Don't worry, some people with biases will tell you that it is going to smell. We can guarantee you that even if the compost is open it will smell nothing at all!!
Now that you are reassure, let's talk deeper, you have two options when you want to create your own compost: Create your own one (DIY) or directly buy it. Here you can come the advantages and disadvantages of both ways.
#1DIY : Create your compost
You need :
- A planter that you are not using, the bottom has to be drilled, in classic plastic or a classic bin made of plastic, you just have to do some drilled at the bottom
- 2 saucers
- Some land or breeding ground
That's it!
How to use it :
Put your compost outdoor, in a place without sun.
Your waste:
Put only vegetables waste inside of your compost if you don't want it to smell, you can also put eggshells, coffee ground. You also need to put some papers or cardboards beforehand wet.
How to maintain it:
As said before, a compost don't need a lot to be maintained.
Just need to mix it each week.
Also your compost has to be humide, so when you will mix it check if it is enough humide and if it is not don't hesitate to water it.
Harvest your compost:
- Fertilizer liquid, appears after 2 or 3 weeks, you can use it to water your other plants (flowers, plants, vegetables...) but don't forget to dilute it (one amount of fertilizer liquid for 10 amounts of water).
- Compost, this is longer to get than the fertilizer, you need some months to obtain it.
When your compost is ready, you can mix it with land to grown some vegetables.
Advantage: cheapest way to become greener
Disadvantage: It will take you a bit more time to realize your compost, if you don't follow well the instructions your compost may take a lot of time to work.
